Privacy policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit this website, sign up for the free chapter or buy When the Healer Awakes, and what I do with it. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” means R. Lawrence, the author and seller of the book.
What I collect
- When you sign up for the free chapter: your email address, and your first name if you give it.
- When you buy the book: your name, email address, country and order details. Payments are handled by Payhip, Stripe and PayPal. I never see or store your card details.
- When you visit the website: basic information such as your device type, pages visited and how you arrived, collected through cookies and similar tools (see below).
- When you email me: your email address and whatever you choose to tell me.
How I use it
- To send you the free chapter and the short series of emails you signed up for, and occasional letters after that.
- To deliver the book, send your receipt and handle refunds.
- To stamp your email address on the pages of your copy of the book, which protects it from being shared.
- To answer your emails.
- To understand which posts and pages are helpful, so I can improve them.
I don’t sell your information, and I don’t share it with anyone except the services below that help me run this website.

Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies to keep it working and to measure visits through the Meta Pixel. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the website will still work.
Emails and unsubscribing
Every email I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you won’t hear from me again, apart from receipts for anything you buy.
How long I keep it
I keep your email address while you’re subscribed. I keep purchase records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. When I no longer need your information, I delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. If you live in the UK or European Union, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to how your information is used and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email me at [email protected] and I’ll respond within 20 working days.
Keeping it safe
I only use well-known, secure services, I keep my accounts protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in, and I only collect what I need.
Children
This website and book are for adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If I change this policy, I’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
